Seasonal Shifts
Eclipse season 2025: “What a time to be alive!” says the astrologer. We have been collectively going through the astrological washing machine and now this last eclipse season of 2025, has us in the rinse and spin cycle. Eclipse seasons can be potent portals for growth and self-evolution. The eclipse “season” is the time shortly prior to the full moon lunar eclipse to the time shortly after the new moon solar eclipse, vice versa. Depending on your natal/birth chart, you could potentially feel the effects of the eclipses up to a month prior to eclipse season and a month or longer, after the last eclipse. In this season it’s a the lunar eclipse kicks us off and the solar eclipse closes us out the eclipse season.
Traditionally, eclipse seasons aren’t a time for manifesting with the full moon. That said, I ask you to tap into your intuition (Pisces), and ask yourself what feels true to you? We are in an age of personal empowerment and to embody your own truths versus what you’ve been told is true. Saturn rx (retrograde) re-entered Pisces on September 1, 2025. With Saturn and the full moon in Pisces, what stories or truths have you picked up and have carried, that are not your own? Can you lean on Saturn’s discipline and persistence to release them with this full moon and eclipse season?
Eclipse season is happening while the sun is in the sign of Virgo. Virgo loves organization, cleaning, spreadsheets, and being of service to others. How can you work with this energy to propel yourself forward through this time? The end of Virgo season also ushers us into a change of seasons and the countdown to fall equinox. I used to strongly dislike fall because I have seasonal affective disorder, and the shorter days bring on depression. However, in 2020, slowing down and being able to truly witness the changing of seasons gave me a new perspective on how to steward myself into the shift of seasons. For me, it was acceptance for what is to come and welcoming the permission to hibernate. This year, I ask you to do the same, bring in a new perspective and steward yourself into the shift. Expect the unexpected in eclipse season and that what is not for you will fall away. Just as the leaves on the trees fall, what you shed now, will make room for the new buds to bloom in spring.
